Why not stay a bit longer, and take in some of the tourist options. We have a variety of choices available for Monday 19th and Friday 23rd September so you can extend your stay and make sure you get in some fun. These tours are open to the public as well as conference attendees, so if you are traveling with friends or family this is a great way to spend some time together.

Ways to Nature
Len Howard Conservation Park Tour
Monday 19 or Friday 23 September

Wander through diverse habitats including remnant old growth swamp paperbark and banksia coastal woodland. Travel along boardwalks meandering through a network of samphire saltmarshes. The trail fringes the estuary shoreline, with plenty of opportunity to spot waterbirds. After enjoying a 2-hour wander, participants have the option to enjoy food and refreshments at Boundary Island Brewery, through prior arrangements.
Optional Boundary Island Brewery add-on available (food/beverage at own cost, and will need to arrange return transport).
Customers will be picked up at the conference venue (Mandurah Performing Arts Centre) and dropped off at the trail head at the LHCP carpark (south eastern end of the reserve, entrance off Dampier Avenue, Erskine). Customers not visiting the Boundary Island Brewery will be returned to the conference venue at the conclusion of the tour.
Please ensure you book by Monday 12th September for the tour on the 19th, or by Friday 16th for 23rd.

Explore the beauty of wildflowers with Salt and Bush Eco Tours. Small group guided experiences to discover some of the amazing wildflowers of the Swan Coastal Plain. Native orchids are a highlight of these tours, however you will learn about the ecology and geology that help these wildflowers to thrive.

Dwellingup Adventures
Paddle n’ Picnic Tour

Explore the tranquillity and beauty of the Murray River on a guided Paddle n’ Picnic tour. Join one of Dwellingup Adventures experienced guides as we meander down the river which features long pools, fast-moving channels and a couple of small rapids along its forest-lined riverbanks.
Customers are collected at the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre 9am and transported to the lovely Waypoints Café, located at the award-winning Dwellingup Trails and Visitors Centre for some delicious barista coffee and house-made treats. From here you will get fitted out with your safety equipment and head to the start of the canoe experience.
Our guide will accompany the group 6km downstream stopping along the way for a picnic, flora and fauna spotting or a relaxing swim before paddling to the finish point at Dwaarlindjirraap (Baden Powell).
Once finished it’s a quick trip back to Waypoints Café, where you may choose to purchase afternoon tea or freshen up using the hot water showers on site. Once ready, the group is returned to the designated drop-off point by 5pm.
Tour price includes transport to and from Dwellingup, morning tea, canoes and required safety equipment, river map, sunscreen and insect repellent, 1 dry barrel per boat to store towels, water etc., fully qualified guide, riverside picnic lunch, and entry fees to Lane Poole Reserve.
Customers need to bring water, towel and a set of dry clothes (just in case).
